Paradise Born from a Love Story

Discover the rich legacy of Hide-A-Way Cottages, a haven born from a love story! In 1970, Long before Hide-A-Way came to be, Bill and Sandy met in the driveway of Pop Krill’s farm. It was love at first sight! They were married just a few months later and started turning Pop Krill’s old hunting camp into their forever-home. Fast forward to 1989. During the renovation of another old camp, one passerby after another would stop and ask if the camp was available for rent. After saying no for a while, they decided why not, and Hide-A-Way was born! Over the next few years, Bill, Sandy, and their boys built the rest of the cottages from the ground up!

Through the years, this family-owned retreat has evolved into a cherished destination for couples and families seeking tranquility amidst nature. Despite the passing of Bill in 2006, his son, Allen, has taken the reins, ensuring the continuation of the Hide-A-Way legacy.

Today, Allen, his wife Elice, and their furry companion Lucy invite you to experience the same peace, quiet, and love for nature that has defined Hide-A-Way for decades.
